We are pleased to provide you with the basic legal text governing arbitrations in France in the official French version and in unofficial translations. Arbitrations in France are governed by a Decree issued on 13 January 2011, modifying the legal text in effect since 1981 and updating French arbitration law to take into account developments in case law and practice over the past 30 years. This text is codified in the French Code of Civil Procedure.
You can download it here in English, in French, in Chinese, in German, in Portuguese, in Italian, in Spanish, in Arabic and in Turkish.
You can also download the Paris Arbitration Rules designed to provide users of international arbitration with a cost-effective and rapid means of resolving disputes, including complex disputes, which is consistent with the requirements of justice and due process, in English and in French.
